I first met Steve Russell in 1994 when we both worked at a small family-owned CD-ROM start-up called Sirius Publishing in Phoenix. Over the next 4 years, Sirius became the #1 CD-ROM company in the industry then branching out into technology with their ground-breaking Motion Pixels video compression. And Steve played a pivotal role throughout. He was one of those guys that quietly went about his business to get the job done---and he always did.

After everyone at Sirius went their own way, I stayed in contact with Steve—because you always want to stay in touch with talented people that cross your path.
